'Chicago Real Estate - circa 1950's!'

Howdy and welcome,

This is the corner of 47th and South Parkway (aka King Drive). This buidling was owned by 'Aunt' Carrie Danner and her husband, Realtor Joshua Danner.

Carrie also owned the grocery store and beauty parlor in the building! I remember  my family living in an apartment in this building, before we moved to the Chatham area.

Isn't that a great old jalopy?!

This photograph was found in a treasure trove of memoribilia. It was in an old drawer at '7600' where relatives tossed all sorts of keepsakes and junk since the 1950's! I inherited the contents of the drawer on Father's Day 2012.
